“Cheerleading Quick Overview"
CHEERLEADING - Welcome to 2013 WJF Cheerleading!
Cheerleading is a big part of Williamsville Junior Football. Our cheerleading squads are there cheerleading at every game for Air Force, Army and Marines. No experience necessary! Williamsville Jr. Football Cheerleaders also compete in local cheerleading competitions at the Army Freshmen, Army JV, and Air Force and Army Varsity levels.
Once you register you will be contacted to finalize your registration by arranging payment of competition fees (if applicable) and your BBQ tickets. You may contact us at with any questions at email@example.com
REGISTRATION FOR CHEERLEADING WILL OPEN MAY 1st
Practice: All teams practice at Brierhurst Park for August and an indoor facility Village Glen on Mill Street for September and October. Practices for all teams will start on or after Monday, July 29th, 2013. Please keep in mind the season runs through mid-November, 2013. During August the teams practice about 2 to 3 nights a week depending on team. However, once school starts teams practice 1-2 times a week and have a game on weekend. Game schedule does not come out until end of August.
REGISTRATION: Please choose "cheerleading" in the drop down menu for all screens when registering - do not choose "Varsity or Freshman" (this is for football and will kick you out of registration). Please try and make notation of team interested in – specifics of your team will be emailed to you. If anything is missing I will email you. Please update your daughter’s school and grade attending as of September, 2013 (Full registration is refundable up until 7/31/13). IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Teams:
Airforce Varsity and Army Varsity (competition teams) grades 6th-8th are FULL.
Navy Varsity (6th, 7th and 8th grade) competition team (spots available for this team!)
Army JV grades 3rd-5th (competition team) (spots available)
Army Freshman (competition team) grades 1st - 3rd (spots available)
Marines (noncompetition) - 2 teams: Kind - 3rd and 3rd - 8th (room available).
ALL COMPETITION TEAMS ALLOW 3 absences ONLY for the ENTIRE SEASON. Please keep this in mind when choosing a team. In fairness to the team this is strictly enforced.
Registration Fee Does NOT Include: in addition to the registration fee the following applies: ALL Teams have an indoor facility charge: Competition Teams: $50, Non-Competition Teams: $25. Indoor Facility is payable to “WJF Cheerleading." Registration fee does not include spankies, turtlenecks, sneakers, bow, socks, or other incidentals. All together these items cost around $75. These items will be purchased by the cheerleader at Laux Sporting Goods at the Eastern Hills Mall location only. Laux will have the list of items required based on your team. Cheerleading teams have warm up suits. They are mandatory for competition teams: Army Varsity, Airforce Varsity and Army JV. They are optional for all other teams. These warm ups cost around $70.
Fundraising will be mandatory for all teams. There will be one fundraiser held this year.
- Chicken BBQ, Saturday, August 31st – 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm @ WJF Football Field. All football and cheerleader athletes will participate in this event. The teams will be scrimmaging and cheerleading during this event. The time your daughter will be cheering will not be known until mid-August. Cheerleaders will hold a bake/candy sale. Tickets are $10 and include dinner and drink. Each girl is required to purchase 4 tickets or buy out at a $20 flat feet. If you are unable to attend as this is a holiday weekend you may buy out or sell to neighbors/family. Additional tickets will be available to sell also.
